How to create a quote with line items in JobSheet

Steps

  1. Open Quotes from the sidebar or More menu on mobile.
  2. Choose New quote (or add from a customer profile if you start there).
  3. Enter a title, select the customer, and set site address (optional — where the work will happen; copied to the job sheet when you confirm the quote).
  4. Under Line items, choose Add blank line or From price book (when your workspace has saved items). There is no empty row until you pick one — then fill in description, quantity, and unit price in the Unit (£) column (ex-VAT or inc-VAT depending on your workspace VAT setting).
  5. Set status to draft while editing, or sent when the customer has the figures.
  6. Save the quote. Open it again from the quotes list to edit lines or status.

Quote notes

On the quote detail screen, add notes with optional @mentions and reminder dates, the same as on customers and job sheets. Use notes for internal follow-up before the job sheet exists.

Tips

  • Use From price book for common parts and labour; use Add blank line for one-off items.
  • Accepted quotes can be confirmed into a job sheet (see next guide).
  • Email the customer an HTML summary when customer notifications are on, or use Print / PDF for a file.
