How to duplicate a job sheet in JobSheet

· Updated

When to duplicate

Use Duplicate when next week’s visit is the same kind of job as an old one, but it is not a repeating series. Recurring stays the right tool when the same visit happens every week on a pattern. See Create recurring job sheets.

Steps

  1. Open the job sheet, or find it on Work Schedule in Diary view.
  2. Choose Duplicate (job header, or on the Diary card). On a narrower window the header actions sit under the title. Team week chips do not show Duplicate. Open the job first.

What copies

  • Customer, title, instructions, site address, assignees
  • Work order reference and required-by date

What does not copy

  • Status. The new job is Open.
  • Linked quote (raise a new quote if you need to invoice this visit)
  • Recurring series. A copy of a series visit is a standalone job.
  • Actual visit times, photos, comments, invoices, and print files

Tips

  • Done and Finished jobs stay on Diary and Team week (grey chips on Team week). You can also open last week’s visit from Job Sheets.
  • After you duplicate, edit the title or instructions if this visit is not identical.
