iPhone push notifications in JobSheet (coming late 2026)
Not available yet
Push notifications need the JobSheet iPhone app, which is expected on the App Store in late 2026. Nothing on this page works today. It describes what the app will send when it launches, so you can plan how your team will use it.
Until then, JobSheet on a phone is the home screen install from Safari or Chrome, which cannot send push notifications. See install JobSheet on your phone. Note reminders you set now are stored on the note and will start pushing once the app is live.
What each push type is for
| Type | When it arrives | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Job assignments | Immediately when you are added to a job sheet | ”Job assigned to you” |
| Schedule changes | Immediately when a job you are on is rescheduled | ”Schedule updated” |
| Mentions and comments | Immediately when someone @mentions you in a note | Note text as the title |
| Note reminders | At the reminder time you set on the note (15-minute steps) | Note text as the title |
Job and schedule pushes can include a Navigate action that opens Apple Maps to the site address (or customer name if no site is set).
Note reminder timing (example: 8pm today)
- Open a job, customer, or quote note and set Reminder to today at 8:00 pm (UK time, in 15-minute steps).
- JobSheet stores that slot (for example
2026-06-09T20:00). - The server checks every 15 minutes. Your reminder fires in the 8:00 pm slot (the run at :00, :15, :30, or :45 that matches that slot).
- If you save the reminder while already in that slot, you may get the push straight away.
- Turn on Note reminders under Workspace → Notifications → iPhone app or you will not receive reminder pushes.
Reminders are not parsed from note text (for example typing “pick up at 11am” does not schedule 11am). Only the reminder picker controls the time.
Who gets a job note reminder?
- Job note: everyone assigned to that job sheet (not only the person who wrote the note).
- Customer or quote note: the person who set the reminder.
CarPlay and the lock screen
Pushes appear on your lock screen and on CarPlay like any iPhone notification. You do not need a separate CarPlay app. Tap View job sheet, I’m on my way, or Navigate from the notification when offered.
Widget updates
The home screen widget refreshes when you open JobSheet and after some pushes. iOS may also refresh it in the background; timing is controlled by iOS, not a fixed interval.
Change push settings
- Open JobSheet on your iPhone.
- Go to Workspace → Notifications.
- Under iPhone app, toggle categories on or off.
