How to manage the price book in JobSheet

· Updated

What the price book is

The price book stores descriptions, default quantities, unit prices, and optional VAT rates you use often. It is per workspace, managed by the workspace admin.

Add or edit items

  1. Open Workspace.
  2. Open Price book.

  1. Enter Description, Default quantity, Unit price (£), and optional SKU or Category.
  2. When UK VAT is on, set Default VAT % (0, 5, or 20).
  3. Choose Add item or Save changes when editing.

Use items on quotes and invoices

  1. Open a quote or invoice in edit mode.

  1. Under Line items, choose Add blank line or From price book (when your workspace has price book items). New documents start with no rows until you pick one.
  2. Pick a price book item to fill description, quantity, unit price, and VAT rate. If the last line is still empty, JobSheet fills that line; otherwise it adds a new one.

Tips

  • Removing a price book item does not change existing quotes or invoices.
  • Recent lines from the same customer may appear as suggestions without saving to the price book.
  • Keep descriptions short and clear for field staff picking lines on site.
