How to print a job sheet with a QR code in JobSheet
Before you start
Print / PDF sits on the job header for every role, including field staff. You do not need the Office tab. Office staff still use Office for quotes, invoices, and the works-order workflow.
Default print settings apply workspace-wide. The workspace admin configures them under Workspace → Templates (choose Preview as → Job sheet).
Configure print settings (workspace admin)
- Open Workspace, choose Templates, then set Preview as to Job sheet.
- Tick the sections you want on the printout (customer, site, schedule, instructions, assignees, linked work, works-order fields, and Actual visit (start, finish, hours, work/materials)). Actual visit is on by default. Empty times and notes print as blank lines.
- Add an optional Custom footer (for example “Please call on arrival”).
- Set Show QR code linking to the job sheet in the app to Yes when you want a scannable link on the printout.
- A green tick appears on that row when it has saved. You do not press Save workspace.
The QR code opens the job in JobSheet when scanned with a phone camera. It is useful on van copies and site paperwork.
Print a job sheet
- Open the job sheet.
- Choose Print / PDF on the job header. On a narrower window it sits under the title so Overview, Office, and Job still read in full.
- Choose Print for the browser print dialog, or Download PDF to save a PDF of the same layout. Close dismisses the overlay.
The preview uses your workspace section choices and footer. When QR is on, it appears on the print layout. Empty Actual visit fields print as blank lines. If the site address is the same as the customer address, Site is left off so the address is not printed twice.
You can also print from a Diary card on Work Schedule. Team week chips do not show Print. Open the job first.
Optional — attach to works-order pack email
When customer notifications are on, you can set Attach printable job sheet when sending works-order pack email to Yes under Workspace → Templates (with Preview as → Job sheet). JobSheet adds an HTML job sheet to the pack email.
