Field staff vs office staff roles in JobSheet
Roles at a glance

Field staff cannot open Quotes, Invoices, Credit notes, or Reports, and do not see pricing on commercial screens.
Invite with the right role
- Sign in as the workspace admin.
- Open Workspace → Team invite.
- Enter email and name.
- Choose Role:
- Field staff — jobs and schedule (no pricing) — default for new invites
- Office staff — quotes, invoices, and reports
- Send the invite.
Change someone’s role later
- Open Workspace → Team members.
- Find the member and use the Role dropdown (Field staff or Office staff).
- Save. They may need to refresh or sign in again to see updated navigation.
Only the workspace admin can invite, change roles, or remove members.
What field staff see on Dashboard
Field staff see Reminders and today’s jobs instead of quote pipeline tiles. Quotes and Invoices tabs are hidden from the bottom navigation.
They can still:
- Open Job Sheets and Work Schedule
- Complete visits, add notes and photos
- Use recurring job series (create if your workflow allows, or only visits assigned to them)
