How to transfer workspace admin in JobSheet
Before you start
- Only the current workspace admin can transfer the role.
- The person you transfer to must already be an active team member (they have accepted their invite and signed in).
- There is still one workspace admin at a time. After transfer, you become office staff and keep quotes, invoices, jobs, and reports, but not Subscription or team admin.
Steps
- Sign in as the workspace admin.
- Open Workspace from the sidebar.
- In Team members, find the person who should take over (field or office staff).
- Choose Make workspace admin.
- Read the confirmation, enter your password, and choose Transfer workspace admin.
- They can now open Subscription, invite staff, and change workspace settings. You will no longer see those owner-only areas.
Tips for a clean handover
- Invite them first and wait until their status is Active.
- Ask them to sign in once before you transfer, so they know their password works.
- Transfer when you are ready to step back from billing and team admin. The company subscription stays on the workspace; it does not move to a personal account.
