How to transfer workspace admin in JobSheet

Before you start

  • Only the current workspace admin can transfer the role.
  • The person you transfer to must already be an active team member (they have accepted their invite and signed in).
  • There is still one workspace admin at a time. After transfer, you become office staff and keep quotes, invoices, jobs, and reports, but not Subscription or team admin.

Steps

  1. Sign in as the workspace admin.
  2. Open Workspace from the sidebar.
  3. In Team members, find the person who should take over (field or office staff).
  4. Choose Make workspace admin.
  5. Read the confirmation, enter your password, and choose Transfer workspace admin.
  6. They can now open Subscription, invite staff, and change workspace settings. You will no longer see those owner-only areas.

Tips for a clean handover

  1. Invite them first and wait until their status is Active.
  2. Ask them to sign in once before you transfer, so they know their password works.
  3. Transfer when you are ready to step back from billing and team admin. The company subscription stays on the workspace; it does not move to a personal account.
