How to use the customer portal in JobSheet

What the customer portal is (v1)

The customer portal is the read-only customer link for a specific invoice or quote. Customers open it in a browser without a JobSheet login. Future releases may add a magic-link hub listing all documents for one customer email.

Open a document as a customer

  1. You copy or email the customer link from the invoice or quote detail screen.
  2. The customer opens the link on phone or desktop.
  3. They see line items, totals, due date, and bank details or Pay now when card payments are enabled.

Pay from the portal

When Stripe Connect is active, the portal page includes Pay now for open sent invoices.

Tips

  • Do not share links to void invoices.
  • For multiple documents, send separate links or use Email to customer for each invoice.
  • Portal pages are rate-limited for abuse protection. Ask the customer to retry if a link expired.
