01 Quote and photograph
Quote the run, photograph the posts
Price the removal, fence run, gate and extra posts as separate lines. On site, add photos of the post line and gate to the job, so the customer has the record.
Metreage and extras on record Rock turns up on post one, two extra posts go in, and the extra is queried when the invoice arrives. Note the extra posts and photograph the run on your phone before you leave, so the proof is on the job when the office invoices.
02 Finish and invoice
Mark it done, then invoice it
Log your hours and the work carried out from the cab. The invoice is raised from the quote, with the metreage and extras on the same job.
