Use JobSheet as a mobile job sheet on iPhone or Android. Install it to your home screen (PWA) from Safari or Chrome. After one online sign-in you can browse cached jobs and queue notes when signal drops. A native iPhone app is expected on the App Store in late 2026.

What a mobile job sheet must do
A mobile job sheet app only helps if the van opens it. On a trial, check:
- Today’s jobs in two taps
- Notes and photos on the same sheet
- Mark done that the office can see
- Assigned work so each engineer is not scrolling the whole list
JobSheet is a progressive web app (PWA), so the phone version is the same product as the desktop one rather than a cut-down companion. A native iPhone app follows in late 2026 and will open the same workspace. See PWA vs native app for field engineers.
Mobile navigation
On a phone, primary navigation is a bottom tab bar:
- Home: today’s timeline
- Customers: directory and profiles
- Create (+): new quote, job sheet, or customer
- Schedule: week view
- More: opens the sidebar drawer for Job Sheets, Quotes, Invoices, Reports, Workspace, Team members (office and admin), and sign out
The logo at the top left also opens that menu. Tapping the workspace name next to it takes you to Dashboard (Home).
Job Sheets stay under More, not on the bar. Office staff and the workspace admin open Team members from More. Field staff do not see that link.
The layout uses mobile viewport sizing and safe-area padding so the tab bar sits correctly on notched phones.
Installed app behaviour
When JobSheet runs in standalone mode (installed, not inside Safari/Chrome chrome), a refresh control appears in the top bar next to the workspace title. Use it to reload customers, job sheets, and schedule data when you have signal.
iPhone App Store app, late 2026
A native iOS app is in development and expected on the App Store in late 2026. It is not available to download yet. When it lands it will add push notifications for job assignments, schedule changes, and team messages, plus a home screen widget for today’s jobs. Android and home-screen install
There is no separate Android store listing. On Android, open JobSheet in Chrome and use Add to Home Screen / Install app. That is the mobile jobsheet engineers use on Android: a full-screen icon into the same workspace. See Install JobSheet on your phone.
Use offline (honest limits)
Install JobSheet as a PWA on each phone (Add to Home Screen). After someone has signed in online at least once, the installed app caches your schedule, customers, and job sheets on the device. In poor signal they can browse that data, add job notes, and clear note reminders; changes queue and sync when they reconnect. A connection banner on the installed app shows when they are viewing saved data.
The same limited offline behaviour is available in the mobile browser after an online visit; we recommend the home-screen install for engineers on site. Offline is a fallback, not a full offline CRM: you cannot create new customers or job sheets, edit quotes or invoices, or upload photos without a connection.
Mobile job sheets vs a paper pad
A mobile job sheet is not a PDF you open in Files. It is the same job the office created, opened on a phone: title, site, what was agreed, and a place to write what you did.
Paper still works for one person who never hands work to anyone else. It fails as soon as the office needs to know whether the engineer left site, or the next visit needs yesterday’s photos. That is the mobile jobsheet case: two people, one record.
You can still print a van copy from the same sheet. The phone is the live copy.
Today’s jobs on the phone
After sign-in, Home is today’s timeline for the signed-in user. Assigned job sheets appear there without opening the full Job Sheets list. The iPhone widget planned for the late 2026 app will show the same “today” set from the home screen.
Field staff only see work assigned to them. Office staff and the workspace admin can still open the full list from More. That keeps a mobile job sheet app usable in the van instead of a shared spreadsheet of every job in the firm.

Photos and notes from the van
On a mobile job sheet you add a comment or a site photo on the Job tab. Photos need a connection to upload. Notes can queue when signal drops and sync when you reconnect.
Do not treat the camera roll as the job record. If the photo is not on the sheet, the office cannot invoice from it next week.

On the van
Open today’s mobile job sheet from the home-screen app, add notes while you are offline, update status when you have signal, and mark done before you drive off. Use refresh in standalone mode after reconnecting to pull the latest schedule.
Typical van loop:
- Open Home and tap today’s job
- Read the description and site address
- Add a note or photo while you work (photo upload needs signal)
- Fill Actual visit if the workspace requires it
- Choose Mark done before you leave
The office then marks Finished after they have checked the sheet. Invoicing stays an office step.
