Custom branding & app icon

What custom branding changes

When custom branding is active on your subscription, Workspace → Branding unlocks:

  • Primary and secondary colours (colour picker or hex codes) applied to buttons, sidebar tint, and accents
  • Menu colour for the sidebar (and the dark-mode shell base)
  • Menu logo — a light-on-dark mark for the sidebar, the header in dark mode, and sign-in. Upload a transparent PNG so it sits on the menu colour. If you skip it, the document logo is used on those dark surfaces
  • Square home-screen icon (PNG or JPEG) for installed apps on engineers’ phones
  • Branded document layout under Workspace → Templates (colour letterhead on invoices, quotes, and job sheets)

Document logo (invoices, quotes, job sheets) is included for every workspace — upload it under Workspace → Branding without the add-on. Classic and Detailed layouts stay available without the add-on.

Your company name and subdomain (for example smithelectrical.jobsheet.uk) already identify the workspace; branding makes the installed app look like yours rather than a generic JobSheet tile.

Light and dark mode

Each team member chooses light or dark mode in Your account → Appearance. Your brand colours apply in both themes: buttons and accents stay on your primary colour, and menu colour keeps the sidebar (and dark shell) on-brand.

You set colours once in Workspace. You do not maintain separate palettes for light and dark.

How it appears to engineers

When branding and a logo are active, the sidebar (and the header in dark mode) shows your menu logo, or the document logo if no menu logo is set. In light mode the header prefers the document logo. On phones, Add to Home Screen can use your uploaded square icon. Existing installs may need removing and re-adding to pick up a new icon on some devices.

Without the add-on, workspaces keep the default JobSheet product mark and colours in the app. You can still upload a company logo for documents under Workspace → Branding.

Billing

Custom branding is a paid monthly add-on (see Pricing on the homepage for the current rate). Turn it on under Subscription → Change your plan → Custom branding, then Update subscription. Colour, menu logo, and home-screen icon fields unlock after checkout or that update. Document logo upload stays available either way.

Staff who are not workspace admins can see branding but cannot edit company settings.
